Technology manufacturing teams can rely on
Manufacturing runs on uptime. When ERP, production systems or connectivity fail, the cost is measured in stopped lines and missed orders.
WhizzIT keeps your systems resilient and your sites connected, protects your data and gives you responsive support, so technology never stops production.

Manufacturing and engineering
Two networks, one business: the office and the shop floor
Manufacturers run two quite different technology estates. The office side looks like any other business. The production side runs machine controllers, PLCs and inspection equipment, often on operating systems that cannot be patched and were never designed to be on a network at all.
-
01
Segmentation instead of upgrading the unupgradeable
A press brake or CNC controller running an unsupported Windows version usually cannot be updated without invalidating the machine’s support agreement. The workable answer is to isolate it: a separate network segment, tightly controlled routes in and out, and monitoring on the boundary rather than on the machine.

02
Downtime has a per-hour price and everyone knows it
In an office, a slow morning is an irritation. On a line, stoppage has a number attached and it is usually already calculated. That changes the priority conversation: resilience spending on the things that halt production is far easier to justify than a general upgrade.
-
03
Coverage across a shop floor is a physical problem
Steel racking, machinery and vehicle movement break wireless coverage in ways an office survey never predicts. Scanners, tablets and terminals need a network designed for the building as it actually is, which means surveying the space rather than assuming it.
